I'm not sure only a "few" people like you (and me) are satisfied with the standard library. It's just that satisfied people don't spend time saying it.

Anyway, one question about the code example: Str is not thread safe, what about BatString?

Hi, I've find an interesting article about Ocaml you had written for quite a long time ago (https://www.donadeo.net/post/2008/draw-something-on-the-screen-and-interact-with-it). This is what I am working for with lablgtk2 and cairo now. So I'd be very appreciate if you could send me the source code which had broken in the tgz file on its download link.

@David: Yes, BatString is thread safe, AFAIK.

@Jaysean: the link in the article (https://www.donadeo.net/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/cairo_toy.tgz) works form me. Uncompress the tarball and compile with:

$ ocamlbuild demo_toy.native

That was my fault. At first I can download the file but can not uncompress it. I try again and It's ok now.
